The
ATME ATLAS Awards are designed to encourage breakthrough thinking, innovative
marketing and industry leadership. Work is judged on innovation, relevance
to marketing needs and demonstrated results. The ATME ATLAS awards recognize
executives and companies for innovative tactics, results-oriented programs
and broad marketing vision.
The most prestigious ATME recognition is the ATLAS Lifetime Achievement
Award. The award is for individuals judged by the ATME Board to have consistently
distinguished themselves as marketing leaders who have advanced the travel
industry worldwide. Past winners include Ted Turner, Brian Kennedy,
Bob Dickinson, Roger Ballou, Phil Bakes, Mike
Gunn, Herb Kelleher, Vincent Vanderpool-Wallace, Arthur
Tauck, Don Daly, Robert Crandall, Barry Sternlicht and
Arthur Frommer. This year the award was given to Steve
Wynn, Chairman of Wynn
Resorts.
The Association of Travel Marketing Executives' ATLAS Awards are the
only results driven marketing awards in the travel industry. The awards
recognize breakthrough thinking and promote extraordinary achievements
in the creation and execution of travel marketing initiatives in several
key areas.
